My Biography

I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco because of the opportunity to work with a diverse population. One of my primary areas of interest is cross-cultural issues, and I have presented on the topic at professional conferences in the US and internationally.

Within the Psychiatry Department, I see both adults and children. Having had additional training in child psychiatry, I devote most of my time to the child team. I work on a team with psychologists, social workers, and other therapists to take care of children and their families. I am available for medication consultation and have worked with many families who are initially hesitant to give medication to their children. I am also a pediatrician by training and understand the interplay between medical illness and psychiatric symptoms.

My hobbies include listening and playing classical music. I enjoy many outdoor activities. I consider myself to be an active person with a healthy lifestyle. I encourage all my patients to also lead healthy lifestyles and thrive!
