Welcome to my Web page

This web site is designed to offer information for my patients and give them the ability to link to other sites of interest. Please feel free to contact me at Gary J Bozzini@kp.org with your feedback and suggestions of other areas of interest you would like to see added to my website.

Born in Buffalo NY, raised in Atlanta GA, I have lived in the Bay Area since 1983. My professional interests have been in Adult, Adolescent and Administrative Psychiatry since completing my residency in 1978. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000 after practicing Psychiatry in private practice both in Georgia and California for 22 years.

My career at Kaiser Permanente has been one of the most rewarding times in my professional life. Practicing as a Permanente physician, I have been able to truly focus my time and attention toward the emotional health of our members and their families, which is the reason for me becoming a psychiatrist. As chief of Inpatient Psychiatry for the geographic area from San Francisco to Southern San Jose, my role has allowed me to work to improve the quality and service delivery of mental health and chemical dependency care for Kaiser Permanente members who require intensive psychiatric services.

My personal interests include computers, all sorts of technology, high energy house music, Italian cooking, improving my fluency in Spanish and helping raise the joy of my life, my grandson!

My clinical responsibilities at Kaiser Permanente include oversight of the Inpatient Psychiatry Department in the West and South Bay and providing psychiatric consultation to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout the same geographic area. Generally, referral to my practice comes via the Continuing Care doctors and nurse practitioners who provide care to patients in the Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
