Welcome to my home page!

I was born in Alameda and raised, for the most part, in the Bay Area. I attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing in San Francisco and received an Associate Degree of Nursing from Ohlone College in Fremont. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Nursing from the University of San Francisco and a Masters Degree in Nursing and a Gerontological Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of California, San Francisco. I am a member of the American Nurses Association, California Nurses Association, California Association of Nurse Practitioners, Northern California Gerontological Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau, an International Nurses Honor Society.

I am married and have three grown children and four grandchildren. In my leisure time, I enjoy reading, walking, snorkeling and camping.

Perioperative Medicine:

I am part of the team that helps patients prepare for their surgery. My duties are to complete a telephone assessment that includes your medical and surgical history, and to complete your physical on the day of surgery.

Although I do not have the privilige of a long-term relationship with you, I and my co-workers are dedicated to making every minute of our interaction count. My priority is to partner with you and your surgeon, for the best possible outcome from your surgery.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
