Welcome to my home page

As a cardiologist I treat patient’s with coronary disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias among other things. Coronary disease, valve disease and heart disease in women are of special interest to me. I find it very rewarding to build a close rapport with my patients and to educate and enable them to make informed decisions about their care. Being relatively new in this area, I look forward to developing longstanding relationships with my patients.

I joined Kaiser San Rafael in 2008. However my association with Kaiser dates back to 2002, starting with internal medicine residency at Kaiser Santa Clara until cardiology fellowship at Kaiser Los Angeles. I strongly believe that we deliver excellent health care by focusing on patient education, preventative care and practicing evidence based medicine. Having a cutting edge electronic medical record system that enables physicians from different geographical areas and specialties to connect and coordinate a patients care instantly is an incredible asset . I have complete autonomy over the care I want to provide to my patients without having to worry about any insurance agency oversight. No system is perfect, but we constantly strive to better ourselves and that is what makes this a great team to be part of.

My husband and I have two children, a son and a daughter. The time spent with my family is most precious to me. I also enjoy being outdoors. Now that the sleepless nights with the baby are almost over ( I don’t want to jinx myself here), I look forward to being out hiking or spending time in a park with my family.
