Welcome to my Home Page.

Please use this web page to better understand who I am and how I like to practice. You will also find links to helpful health education information.

I was born in San Francisco, California and attended the University of California at Berkeley where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology. After working as a medical technologist for a few years, I returned to UC Berkeley to attend the School of Optometry. In 1990, I graduated with a Doctor of Optometry Degree. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2000.

My practice philosophy is to treat all my patients like I would like to be treated. I strive to explain procedures and why they are necessary. To me, patient care is a collaborative effort between myself and my patients.

When I'm away from the clinic, I love to spend time with my wife and 2 daughters. My hobbies are fishing, tinkering with computers, jogging and exploring the California Coastline.

I want to ensure that your concerns and needs are addressed.

You may leave me a phone message at (415) 833-5665. Please be certain to leave your full name and Kaiser number. Once your chart is received, either myself or a member of my staff will return your call as soon as possible.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
