Welcome to My Home Page!
I enjoy making a difference in the lives of our patients. Careful review of the patient's medical history, a thorough physical evaluation and a conversation with the patient about their personal goals are the critical pieces of information that I need to provide exceptional, personalized care. I like to improve a patient's awareness about how they move and provide the feedback they need to move with greater ease. In the chronic pain program, we use traditional exercise and draw from other disciplines like yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Feldenkrais, and Qigong. It's both inspirational and gratifying to see patients "graduate" from our program every week that have been able to "get their lives back."
I enjoy working as part of a very talented and conscientious inter-disciplinary team. I like the cultural and social diversity of our patient population here in the East Bay. I'm very much in alignment with Kaiser Permanente’s Thrive campaign. Helping our patients live "well" in every sense of the word is why I'm here!
Acupressure, relaxation breathing, meditation, nutrition and nutritional supplementation. Hiking, jogging, mountain biking, kayaking, golf and tennis - if it's outdoors and I break a sweat I'm happy. We love exploring different parts of the Bay Area. An urban hike up and down the streets of San Francisco. A trip to the coast to see the elephant seals. A night under the stars at the Chabot Space and Science Center. There's still so much for us to see and do together as a family! I was born and raised in Oakland, CA and am married with two boys.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
