CONTACTING ME

Welcome to my home page. I hope you will find some useful information here about me and some useful links on the left. Please note the hours that I am at the clinic. I have listed my direct telephone number. Between 9:00AM and 5:00PM Monday through Friday, if you cannot reach me directly and need to speak to someone right away, you may call the department telephone number,( 650 )299-4777, and ask to be connected with our crisis team. If you are not experiencing an emergency and wish to speak to me, please leave a voice mail on my confidential voice mail at the above number.

MY CLINICAL ROLE AT KAISER

My practice is primarily focused on working with adult individuals and couples in the department of psychiatry. Occasionally, I may work with a family or child who is referred to me via other clinics in the department. In addition, my practice includes two psychotherapy groups in Spanish. I conduct psychotherapy primarily in English and Spanish, but I also speak Portuguese. My professional interests in the field of psychotherapy are many, but my primary focus is to aid the people who come to us in some of the most difficult times in their lives. I am committed to helping my patients as best as is possible with respect and dignity merited in any circumstance.

PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL HISTORY

My interest in the field of psychology began before entering the pursuit of my formal studies. This professional adventure has been a combination of diverse influences stemming from my direct and prolonged contact with many cultures, forms of education and personal enrichment. My formal education consists of three separate ventures into education; a BA, a MS (masters), and advanced graduate studies. I have worked in numerous community psychotherapy services in San Francisco. These services ranged from crisis clinics to clinics focusing on helping ostracized communities with a cultural and a social emphasis.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
