My Biography

I work at Kaiser Permanente because each day brings new challenges. Each person comes in looking for a solution to a unique situation. As we work toward that goal, I can draw upon expertise from many different experiences.

I grew up in central California and then attended U.C. Berkeley for undergraduate and professional studies. I started by working in private practice in Toledo, Ohio. Upon return to the Bay Area, I worked in private practices and at North East Medical Services in North Beach. I also designed, coordinated and provided vision screenings for San Francisco public schools. I joined Kaiser in 1987 and have been full time since 1996. My continuing education classes have centered around contact lenses, sports vision, and ocular therapeutics.

Away from work, I have fun playing tennis, eating with friends and family, chauffeuring two scotties, trying to cooperate with my computer, and enjoying short trips and vacations.
