My Biography

I started my career with Kaiser Permanente in 2003 as a Clinical Health Educator. In my role as Clinical Health Educator, I helped Kaiser Permanente members achieve healthy lifestyle change with various methods of education & counseling. I used mainly the Brief Negotiation model, a motivational interview model enabling members to control their health. I helped members lose weight, reduce their labs (blood sugars, cholesterol levels, etc), maintain a healthy blood pressure, quit smoking, avoid STDs, and much more. My experience with the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Departments was rewarding & priceless.

My current position as Senior Health Educator allows me to incorporate my education & professional experience. Helping all of our members & employees at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco reach their fullest health potential.

I oversee multiple classes & programs that have direct positive impact with our member’s health. Some of these programs include but are not limited to Medical Weight Management, Healthy Weight, Fitness for Women 40 & Over, Pilates, Qi Gong, Bone Health, Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Zumba, Quit Tobacco Workshop, the Freedom from Tobacco Series, & many more. The Medical Weight Management program is the most recent & allows members who have 40 lbs or more to lose do so in a healthy, monitored, & effective way.

All of these programs are an excellent way to help the mind, body, & spirit. I look forward to continue helping our members, employees, & community reach their respective healthy lifestyle goal!
