Why I Became a Physician

Growing up as a Kaiser Permanente member, I was impressed by the quality of the medical care at Kaiser Permanente. I decided I wanted to become part of the health care team, and that led to my becoming a physician with Kaiser Permanente.

Why I Chose My Specialty

Modern radiology is often at the forefront of high-tech, cutting-edge technology in modern medicine, which I find exciting and rewarding. Radiology contributes important information and procedures to health care. Modern radiology includes interventional radiology, and diagnostic imaging such as CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and PET.

What I Like about Kaiser Permanente

I enjoy the health care team approach at Kaiser Permanente, involving the health care providers, staff, and members, as well as the practice of health care maintenance and preventive health care.

My Philosophy on Healing

I believe that the health care team approach, as practiced at Kaiser Permanente, leads to better member health and healing.

Other Personal Interests

I like to participate in a thriving lifestyle - including heart-healthy physical activities and a sensible diet.

My Credentials

Medical school UC Los Angeles, School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA
Internship Kaiser Foundation Hospital, San Francisco, CA
Residency UC Irvine Medical Center, Orange, CA
Fellowship University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE
Board certification Diagnostic Radiology, American Board of Radiology

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
