Thank you for visiting my home page. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with you and to introduce myself and Kaiser’s Chemical Dependency Program in Oakland. I have been working in this program since April of 2010.

I received an MA in Psychology from San Francisco School of Psychology in 1999. Since 2005 I’ve been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and have used my counseling and psychotherapy skills in a variety of settings with diverse populations. I believe in the healing powers of humor, while never losing sight of the seriousness of addiction and the challenges of facing consequences, fears of change, and maintaining hope.

My current focus and expertise in the area of individuals dealing with addiction, as well as overcoming other psychiatric illness such as mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc.), or thought disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective, etc.). My previous experience working in an acute inpatient psychiatric facility has shown me that the struggles of many people do not fit neatly into a category or that has a simple solution. I am passionate about my work and I hope to be able to focus on the needs of each individual to develop a plan that best suits their goals and how they want to manage their lives.

I love the diversity of our staff and patients and appreciate the dedication, hard work, humor and creativity that go into making Kaiser Permanente Oakland CDRP an excellent program for those in need of help and support in overcoming addiction.

Please feel free to call me during my office hours, 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. I look forward to helping you thrive.
