My Biography

I chose to work for Kaiser Permanente San Francisco because I have received both excellent health care and fantastic training at various Kaiser medical centers in the Bay Area (Hayward, Vallejo, Marin). I live here in the city and enjoy the diversity of our patient population. And I can take the bus from home!

Our centralized health care model provides many strengths for our members, including patient-centered and comprehensive health care. One of the best aspects of my job is working with newborns and their families, holding babies, teaching families, and helping parents to feel competent in the care of their new baby. I work with a wonderful group of nurses, doctors, and support staff in the Pediatrics Department; they make working here a true pleasure.

Meditation is something I strive to do; it’s a challenge to remember to do it, but I feel so much better when I do. I also try to eat well, dance, take yoga, and/or walk almost every day. During my leisure time, I enjoy baking bread, taking dance classes, going for hikes with friends, and traveling whenever I can.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
