Welcome to my home page

About me

I have always had an interest in human anatomy and physiology and this career seemed an obvious fit. As a child I became familiar with physical therapy when my father had an injury requiring orthopedic surgery and physical therapy.

I enjoy the opportunity to work with patients on identifying their abilities as well as their limitations, and creating exercise and treatment plans to help them achieve their goals. I am proud to work for Kaiser Permanente, an organization that is a leader in preventive health care. I appreciate the access we have to medical information and the open communication between other providers that enables me to do my job well.

I like to think that as a clinician I am constantly learning. I feel I best treat my patients by listening to their concerns and goals and working together with them to create the best plan. Patients often have good insight into their situation and which direction to take their treatment. I work with a variety of disabilities, injuries and surgeries. I work with chronic pain patients and have a special interest in working with geriatric patients.

On a personal note, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

My education and credentials:

Undergraduate Degree BS in Biological Sciences, California State University, Hayward
Physical Therapy Education MA from Stanford University, Stanford, CA
Licensure Physical Therapy Board of California

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
