About me...
After a rewarding career as a registered nurse for 15 years, working primarily in critical care and emergency services, I returned to school to pursue a post-master’s certificate as a nurse practitioner. I was awarded my certificate from the University of California, San Francisco, with a focus on critical care and emergency medicine. I am board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I joined the team of healthcare providers in the Minor Injury Clinic at Kaiser Permanente, San Jose in 2007.
My Philosophy of Care…
As a nurse practitioner, I believe patient education is fundamental to an optimal and healthy outcome. Therefore, I strive to partner with my patients and their families to develop the best plan of care incorporating their personal healthcare goals. In addition to addressing their acute needs, I encourage my patients to practice healthy life style habits, take preventative healthcare measures, adhere to recommended regimens and obtain regular check-ups with their primary care physician.
My Interests...
• Professionally, I am interested in academic pursuits to further my professional opportunities. I am currently pursuing a doctor of nursing practice degree at University of San Francisco.
• When not working or going to school, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, eating, and traveling.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
