About Me
I was born in China and was educated there for 1st and 2nd grade. I speak both Mandarin and Cantonese fluently. I grew up in Los Angeles in a Hispanic, Asian community. In high school, I enjoyed playing sports, participated in community activities, and active in enrichment programs. I was named the MVP on our Varsity Tennis team for two years. I was the Salutatorian in our class. My participation in U.C.Eyes in U.C. Irvine led me to the field of optometry. I received my degree in Biological Science from U.C. Irvine in 1991. I graduated from U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry in 1995. I completed my therapeutic training in 1998. Since then I have practiced with both optometrists and ophthalmologists. I started to practice in Kaiser in July 2002. My clinical interests include general optometry, contact lens, and minimal binocular dysfunction, treatment of anterior segment eye disease, and refractive surgery consultation. It is my belief to intervene early in children with vision dysfunction, to educate my patients on how nutrition, cardiovascular health, smoking and life-style affects their eye health.
In my personal life I enjoy being a mother to two lovely children. Together, we enjoy reading, singing, dancing, going to parks and museums, hiking, biking, and playing tennis. We are active in a local church. My husband and I both have interests in overseas missionary activities.
