Welcome to my home page!
I am one of 5 Kaiser pathologists here in the Kaiser San Rafael Department of Pathology. I currently work part time, 3 days/week. As a pathologist, I carefully examine your biopsies and surgical specimens both macroscopically (with the naked eye) and microscopically. I then render a diagnosis which I forward to your personal physician. He or she will then discuss your diagnosis with you. I do my very best to make each and every diagnosis as quickly and as accurately as I can. I enjoy my work very much and I believe that I have the best opportunity to practice quality pathology within the Kaiser system, where we spare no expense to make the proper diagnosis. We have a centralized, state of the art, immunohistochemistry department at Kaiser San Francisco which we can utilize whenever is necessary, to help arrive at the proper diagnosis. Furthermore, we can utilize other pathologists within the system for second opinions, if we feel another opinion is necessary. We have access to all relevant clinical and laboratory data via our computer systems, to help us make diagnoses as well. I have worked for Kaiser for many years and continue to believe that our pathology, across the Northern California region, is the best you will find anywhere.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
