I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I went to medical school at the St. Louis University School of Medicine which provided a strong background to launch into any field of medicine. The other things that I remembered about St. Louis was Leonard Slatkin conducting the St. Louis Symphony, enjoying Ted Drew's Frozen Custard (voted the best in the nation), and visiting the local museums. I eventually chose Internal Medicine because of the diversity of diseases. I futher my training at the Fresno campus of the University of California San Francisco. There, I continued to explore the different foods of California and travelled across the country whenever I had time. As you may have guessed by now, my interests include cooking, traveling, live entertainment (symphonies, operas, musicals, and of course Beach Blanket Babylon), and bodybuilding (this last one you probably did not see coming.)
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1999 because of its commitment to provide high quality medial care. It is one of the leaders in health care and has been described as a model for health care delivery not only in the United States but internationally. The doctors work more than a team; they work as a family- that is hard to find in any medical group or any organization for that matter.
My professional interests include treating heart disease, osteoporosis, and nutrition/obesity. The information on my home page reflects my professional interests and have been provided by Kaiser Permanente.
My philosophy as a doctor is to provide the highest quality of care to my patients. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
