My Practice Philosophy

I believe in a strong clinician/patient relationship is important in guiding one through health care decisions. Together we can team up to help you find healthy living.

About Me

I was and raised born in Chicago, Illinois and attended The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. After moving to Los Angeles California to pursue a career in music. I moved north to Santa Cruz, CA where I became a member of AA, NA, CA & SLAA; all these are fellowships of recovery from the disease of addiction.

During that time, I’ve been involved with various SLE’s (sober living environments) as a resident, manager and facilitator. This led me to Bethany College and CPAC (The Certification Program for Addiction Counselors). I began as an intern for Janus of Santa Cruz; a residential program for the treatment of drug addiction & alcoholism. I progressed to Clinical Assistant, then Counselor 1. After 6 1/2 years at Janus of Santa Cruz I was welcomed at Kaiser CDRP and as of June 14th, 2009, that was 5 years ago.

I am actively involved in the recovery community in Santa Cruz where I live by committing to offer service at 12 Step meetings and Sponsoring those who are new to concept of recovery. I still enjoy music and perform with a band at clean & sober functions as well as record original compositions. I couldn’t do these things if I were not in recovery myself. I truly enjoy helping others discover their potential in life through a clean & sober lifestyle.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
