Dr. Chiu received his undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Economics from Stanford University in 1996. He completed his graduate education and received his medical degree at Stanford University in 2001. His internal medicine residency training was completed at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center from 2001-2004 and he went on for additional training in Nuclear Medicine at Stanford University from 2004-2006. His medical interests include nuclear medicine, cardiac imaging and preventative care. Dr. Chiu received his board certification in 2004 from the American Board of Internal Medicine and in 2006 from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine.

In his time off he enjoys international travel and downhill skiing. In additional to speaking English, Dr. Chiu is fluent in Chinese and Taiwanese.
