Welcome to My Internet Home Page

I am Dr. Dung Pham and I am a hospitalist in the Modesto Medical Center. I was born and raised in Vietnam. I immigrated to the United States with my parents when I was 15 years old. When I was growing up in Vietnam, I have seen many people who lived under a poor health care system. This motivated and inspired me to become a physician. Seeing patients recover under my care is very rewarding and I am contented to serve in the community. I obtained my medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine, Roseau, Dominica, West Indies. I then completed my internal medicine residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. My medical interests include hospital based medicine and critical care.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 as it is a well structured organization with an integrated health care system. We have a physician-oriented environment here; clinicians receive ample ancillary support from all departments. Within this comprehensive system, doctors are able to practice medicine in collaboration with their colleagues without worrying about the detailed financial aspects of health care. Physicians are able to truly focus on the patient. Kaiser Permanente places great emphasis on making accessible, preventive care available.

I am married to my husband who is also a hospitalist in Modesto and we have one baby boy. We both came to the Central Valley in 2008 because this is a great place to raise a family. At leisure, I like playing tennis, swimming and traveling. Hawaii seemed to be our favorite spot at this time, but we are planning to do more traveling in the future. Beside English, I speak fluent Vietnamese.

My Philosophy of Care

My goal is to be able to provide my best possible care to patients, educate them as much as I could and to see them feeling better everyday.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
