About Me

My mother was a medical technologist and the laboratory manager of a large hospital in Detroit, where I grew up. One of my earliest memories was of visiting the laboratory with my mother to get blood tests done before I had a tonsillectomy. Shortly after that I decided I wanted to become a physician. In college I received a master's degree in microbiology before attending medical school. With that background I decided to become a pathologist.

In Kaiser Permanente I enjoy the close relationship with all the other physicians in Napa-Solano. Everyone is a partner with the single goal of taking care of our patients. I believe preventive medicine is the best medicine of all. I am never embarrassed to tell a patient to use sunblock or stop smoking.

At home I like swimming, photography, and cooking. I make a great Caesar salad.
