I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Northern California and attended San Francisco State University and California State University, Chico where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1978. I completed the Master of Science Degree in Audiology at California State University, Sacramento in 1988.

Audiology is a great blend of science and people-oriented service. It is a relatively new field and is constantly changing due to new innovations in test procedures. Newborns are now screened for hearing loss before going home from the hospital. Our seniors are living longer and healthier lives and benefit from aural rehabilitation services.

My practice philosophy purports that every patient deserves the best service I can provide. Furthermore, I believe that every patient deserves respect and sensitivity.

Hearing is perhaps the least understood of our five senses. It is certainly taken for granted until it is impaired in some way. Helen Keller expressed it this way; "Blindness separates people from things; deafness separates people from people." It is rewarding to assess and offer solutions for various types of hearing loss to people of all ages.

I enjoy working for Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to grow as a clinician by supporting continuing education and training. Autonomy in my practice allows me the opportunity to connect with every patient.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
