My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a pediatric anesthesiologist. This means I take care of children during surgery and at anytime they need sedation for procedures. I make sure that their vital signs are stable and that they are breathing, sleeping, pain-free, and comfortable throughout the procedure. I decided to do anesthesia because I enjoy taking care of people, especially children, while focusing on one patient at a time.

My Practice Philosophy

I value quality medical care in general. I like to treat my patients the way my family or I would like to be treated. I like to get to know everything about my patients, listen to their concerns, answer all their questions, and provide a safe anesthetic at all times.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in August 2010. I am one of five pediatric anesthesiologists in the Sacramento/Roseville area.

I chose to work at Kaiser Permanente for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is the peri-operative support that is available for my patients. They have a state of the art facility with NICU, PICU and adult ICU in house. They also allow me to focus taking care of my patients without having to worry about billing and insurance issues. I also like Kaiser's team approach to taking care of their patients. I get plenty of help with taking care of patients before, during, and after the anesthetic.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
