Don graduated and received his Registered Nursing degree from Evergreen Valley College in San Jose in 1980. Prior to receiving his Registered Nursing degree, Don completed the Licensed Vocational Nursing program at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz in December 1975.

Don worked at Los Gatos Community Hospital, in the Intensive Care and Critical Care Units from 1976 to 1979. He joined Kaiser Santa Clara in 1980, where he worked as an Emergency Room Nurse until 1992. Don then joined the Kaiser Mountain View team, in the department of Minor Injury. Don has since received additional training in Wound Care at Kaiser Oakland as well as the Mountain View Clinic. Currently he is the nurse in extended role in our Minor Injury Department. Through this role he has received extensive training and follows specific standardized procedures to assess and treat patients for certain conditions. He has appointments available for wound care, suture removal, self-injection instruction and travel immunization. He is also part of Mountain View's Code Blue Team and responds to patient emergencies that occur in the facility.

During his off time, he enjoys film and digital photography and prints his own photographs.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
