Welcome to my home page!
There is no place like home. My name is Dan Maloney and I have been a member of the Kaiser hematology/oncology team since July of 2007. My formative childhood years were spent in Fairfax, where I was born and raised. It was there that I developed my passion for baseball and bike riding. I then attended Marin Catholic High School where I enjoyed four memorable years. My initial college travels brought me to South Bend, Indiana for one year at the University of Notre Dame, followed by three years at UC Davis. In 1997 I made my way to New York and attended Albany Medical College. Four years later, in 2001, I was fortunate enough to begin my internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I finished another three years of hematology/oncology fellowship at the same institution and now I have completed the full circle back to home with my wife.
The world of hematology/oncology is a special one. Ever since childhood, I knew that I wanted to enter this arena, and I have been fortunate to be able to do so. It is a very dynamic field with significant breakthroughs occurring at increasing intervals. I enjoy participating in this process and witnessing the constant progress that modern medicine continues to make. On the other hand, this field requires tremendous compassion and empathy. I value the personal bond that I develop with patients and providing as much comfort as possible in difficult times. I look forward to the challenges brought on by this very difficult specialty and I am honored and delighted to help serve my own community.
Thanks for visiting me on the web. I hope you take a few minutes to view the valuable links and resources we are able to provide. From this site you can refill prescriptions and even securely email your doctor. I look forward to our next visit.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
