Hello and welcome to my home page!

My Credentials

I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry in 1990 and have been practicing in Modesto since then. As an undergraduate, I majored in Biology while attending California State University Stanislaus and Canada College in Redwood City, CA.

My Practice Philosophy

When I examine a patient’s eyes, I first try to be a good listener. At the conclusion of the exam, I will thoroughly explain the results and treatment options.

Why do I want to be an Optometrist?

I have worn glasses and contact lenses since sixth grade, and that was how I initially became interested in Optometry.

More About Me

I was born in Turlock and raised in Foster City; I have lived in California my whole life. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife, two children and our numerous critters. I love many of the hikes in Yosemite. I have played countless hours of basketball and tennis in my life but am doing less and less of that as I “mature”. I also play the piano and trumpet and enjoy listening to a wide variety of music.

I am proud to be part of the team at Kaiser Permanente Modesto. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
