Welcome to my home page!

I am pleased to offer this web site as a means to provide helpful medical information for my patients, as well as an opportunity for you to learn more about me. I hope that through this medium I will be able to better serve you with the most current information, useful handouts, and helpful web links.

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and medical group here at Kaiser Permanente, and I hope that we can always provide the highest quality of care and service to you.

The following is a brief synopsis about how I came to work with the staff here at Kaiser Permanente. I have an undergraduate degree in Social Science and Biology and I received my medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara Faculty of Medicine. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. I did my residency in Internal Medicine and my fellowship in Cardiology at the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Medically, I am especially interested in Physiologic Basis of Disease. I joined TMPG in April of 1993. I speak Spanish and enjoy hiking, reading, camping, scuba diving and riding bicycles and motorcycles.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
