Thank you for visiting my homepage to learn more about me…
I grew up in a small town in Iowa, and moved to California to attend medical school at Stanford. There I became fascinated by how the eye functions to give us our amazing sense of sight. After medical school, I pursued a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of California in San Francisco. I now practice general Ophthalmology, and enjoy the diverse mix of medical and surgical cases that I see in my practice. Ophthalmology is especially rewarding for me when the quality of my patients’ lives improves with a change in their eyesight. I strive to take care of my patients as I would take care of a family member. I enjoy working together with patients to come up with a care plan that is best for them.
When I am not at Kaiser, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters. I enjoy relaxing at the beach, keeping my orchids in bloom, and practicing yoga. One of my goals is to learn German, as both my husband and I have German backgrounds. During the holidays, we like to visit our families in Florida, Arizona, and Iowa.
I feel very fortunate to be part of the wonderful team of Ophthalmologists at Kaiser Permanente in Daly City, and I am looking forward to serving you!
