Welcome to My Home Page!

I planned to be a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing, but after taking a class in audiology I was hooked! I began practicing as an audiologist in Fresno in 1980 and I have been working at Kaiser Permanente since 1992. I hold a doctorate in audiology and I am a fellow in the Amercian Academy of Audiology. I also belong to the Educational Association of Audiology.

I have always believed in giving back to my community so in my spare time I do a lot of volunteer work. I am currently serving as the board president of the Madera County Arts Council and I am the chair of the special projects committee for the UC Merced Parent Family Association.

PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY

My practice philosophy is to create a friendly atmosphere so my patients can feel comfortable asking questions. I am a strong believer in patient education so I like to spend time explaining the test results and their implications to daily life. One of my areas of interest is tinnitus and I currently teach a monthly class in Managing Tinnitus through the Health Education Department.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
