Welcome to My Home Page

My colleagues and I designed home pages to make it easier for you to take care of your health care needs. We’ve included a variety of superior online programs and health information that we have evaluated or written ourselves. Providing you with only the highest quality materials demonstrates our commitment to giving you the best quality care.

My Background

I received my undergraduate training at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a B.S. degree in General Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Genetics. After graduation I worked for the U.S. Army as a research assistant in Space Biosciences where I sent a project on the Space Shuttle Atlantis. I then continued my studies at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA and graduated in 1996. I then pursued my Diagnostic Radiology residency training as an active duty Air Force Officer at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA from 1996-2000 and became board certified by the American Board of Radiology.

I continued as an Air Force Staff Radiologist from 2000-2004 where I was the Chief of Mammography. After 8 years of active duty I separated from the Air Force and continued working for the Air Force as a civilian contractor, retaining the position of Chief of Mammography. During that time I also worked part time for Sutter Medical Group and U.C. Davis Medical Center. I have been practicing at Kaiser Permanente since 2012.

Roles & Responsibilities

My duties consist of interpreting diagnostic imaging studies in ultrasound, CT, MRI, x-ray, and breast imaging as well as performing minimally invasive breast biopsies.

On a Personal Note. . .

My husband and I have three sons and enjoy many hours at baseball, soccer, wrestling, track and cross country events.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
