Welcome to my Home Page.

This home page was designed to offer patients reliable and informative health education materials, and to let you know a little about me.

California became my home when I attended San Jose University, receiving my B.S. in Microbiology. I obtained my medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, returning to California for my Pathology internship and residency at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, and Surgical Pathology fellowship at USC/Los Angeles County Medical Center. I am board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

I enjoy the practice of Pathology very much. As a pathologist, I am able to provide a diagnoses for patients under the care of our many other specialist. I am interested in many areas in Pathology, with a special interest in Neuropathology. I have been with The Permanente Medical Group (TPMG) at Kaiser Redwood City since July 2000, and am very happy to be working in this multi-specialty setting that supports the practice of quality medicine. My own practice philosophy is to approach each patient’s care with great care and attention to detail, in the same way I would want my own family to be treated.

I am a member of the College of American Pathologists, South Bay Pathology Society, California Medical Association, and San Mateo Medical Association.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, skiing, running, reading, and travel. I am also learning to knit, thoiugh a long way from making anything complicated.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
