Welcome to My Home Page!
I began practicing physical therapy in December of 2006. I chose physical therapy as a career based on my life experiences. Growing up, my family, which consisted of a few physicians and several nurses, influenced me to pursue a profession in the medical field. My interest in physical therapy and rehabilitation began in high school when I witnessed and experienced my share of injuries while competing in basketball, football, and badminton. In college, my experiences as a physical therapy volunteer at a health center and a couple of hospitals established my desire to become a physical therapist. My life experiences, athletic background, and love for helping others eventually led to a career path in physical therapy.
I love the fact that I can help people get back to their daily functional routines. I love to work with a dynamic group of professionals and patients, and I love having the opportunity to grow as a clinician. At Kaiser Permanente, I have that chance to help people on a daily basis, I get to work with a friendly and supportive staff, and I can slowly develop myself as a physical therapist through continuing education courses.
My philosophy of care includes a patient-specific approach to rehabilitation. I believe in giving my patients autonomy and responsibility for their recovery and decision-making. I feel that by educating and encouraging them to be pro-active in their care, patients can recover at a faster rate. Independence, prevention, and maintenance are my ultimate goals for my patients.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
