About Me
I was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to California 22 years ago. I graduated from Kean College of New Jersey with a BSW in 1983, and in 1984 I graduated from Rutgers University with a MSW. My first job was working with adolescents in a day treatment program. I then spent the next 4 years on active duty with the Air Force where I worked in various social work programs. I am still in the reserves today, performing my duty at Travis Air Force Base. I worked 6 years for El Dorado County Mental Health in the mobile crisis unit. I’ve been with Kaiser since 1997.
In my off time I love spending time with my family and the various activities they are involved with. In the winter I love to ski and in the summer I love boating activities. I also love to travel anywhere, anytime.
I serve as a crisis therapist in the Psychiatry department and the Emergency Department. The Crisis Team in the department of Psychiatry provides treatment and intervention for psychological emergencies. Our clinicians work on a multi-disciplinary team that is made up of MDs, Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Marriage Family Therapists. We provide treatment and intervention at Sacramento Morse Avenue and Roseville Parkway out-patient clinics, the Roseville and Sacramento Emergency Departments and the Roseville and Sacramento in-patient medicine units.
