As a Physical Therapy Assistant, I work with all the registered physical therapists doing treatments as prescribed after their evaluation. I enjoy being a part of the healing process and facilitating/supporting the efforts of patients/families and Physical Therapists.

I received my Bachelors degree in Biology from Long Beach State and attended De Anza College for the Physical Therapy Assistant degree. I have been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 1979 at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City and have worked in the out-patient, inpatient and rehabiliation settings. I am also a shop steward and participate in the Labor Management Parnership with a special interest in Workplace Safety.

I grew up in Colorado and Southern California and lived in Toronto, Canada for 6 years. I have lived in the Bay area for 31 years. When not caring for patients, I enjoy hiking, reading, volunteering and adventures with family and friends.

Please use this web page to better understand who I am and how I like to practice. You will also find links to what Physical Therapy is, exercise regimens, and helpful health education information.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
