My Specialty and Why I Chose It
I am a Physical Therapist and the Supervisor at the Rancho Cordova clinic. In this out-patient setting I specialize in musculoskeletal dysfunction and rehabilitation with an emphasis on manual therapy. I believe this is a challenging role yet very rewarding as I am able to facilitate positive changes in both patients and staff. I occasionally support staffing in the hospital at the Roseville medical center on the weekends.
My Practice Philosophy
My practice philosophy involves the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and utilizing a variety of treatment options that include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, patient education, and modalities. I believe in providing each patient with the knowledge and treatment necessary to successfully resolve their individual musculoskeletal issues. I also believe that each patient must accept some ownership of their health as the individual plays a critical role in the rehabilitation process and achieving independence.
My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente
I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1998. I have come to appreciate the overall environment in which I work, as the Physical Therapy department leaders are a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care for their patients and staff. This autonomous environment also allows us as clinicians to treat our patient's with successful outcomes.
Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente
There are many benefits to working for Kaiser Permanente. The rehabilitation Services management staff is one of the best in the business. Kaiser provides a great environment for comprehensive medical care under one roof and communication between clinicians is at out finger tips. Kaiser has also implemented their Health Connect program which is basically an electronic medical record. Health connect will allow patients and providers real time access to medical records at any Kaiser facility across the nation. From a Physical Therapy perspective this allows Therapists the ability to view x-ray reports, notes, digital images, and much more. Kaiser provides excellent educational opportunities to their clinicians both in house and out side of Kaiser. This is just a short list of whats available to us at Kaiser. I hope this gives you a better understanding of Kaiser and our commitment to our members.
