Welcome to my Home Page!

My interest in holistic medicine started at a young age. I often searched for different healing modalities that would help my mother with the many health challenges she faced. My searches led me to eventually becoming an acupuncturist, herbalist, yoga teacher, meditation instructor and nutritionist.

My philosophy is no matter what health condition or pain condition we are facing, actively addressing our “Life Basics” will help support and encourage the natural forces of our bodies which are the true healers of disease, pain and suffering.

“Life Basics” are breathing, nutrition, elimination, sleep, physical movement, mind-body relationship, personal experience and personal choices.

I received my acupuncture degree and license from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. I’ve done postgraduate work at the American University of Complementary Medicine with a focus on Classical Chinese Medicine.

My studies have led me to some great teachers like Jeffrey Yuen (88th generation Daoist priest and leading Chinese medicine doctor and scholar), Leon Hammer, MD (Author and world leader of pulse diagnosis), Robert Johns, OMD (Author and teacher of classical acupuncture techniques), and Yogi Bhajan (Master of Kundalini yoga and Hatha yoga).

I have a degree in music and am often playing in local bay area bands. I am married with a baby girl. I enjoy family, backpacking and long vacations.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
