Welcome to My Home Page!
Thanks for visiting my home page. For those of you who have never visited this site, you will find valuable information on the links to the left. They link to patient handouts that provide great information for the care of many of the problems we see here in the Minor Injury Center (MIC). They also provide guidance on the aftercare needed after many of the procedures done in the MIC. For those of you that want to learn more about me, please read on.
About Me
Soon after I was born in New York, my family moved to San Dimas in Southern California where I grew up. After graduating from San Dimas High, I went back east to go to Penn State for college and then on to Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia for medical school. Though I enjoyed the East Coast, I was happy to return to California to do my residency in family practice at the University of California, Los Angeles. I have been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians since then.
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002 and I have loved it ever since. The best reason for being here is that instead of dealing with various insurance companies, I am able to spend 99% of my time doing what I want to, which is to practice medicine. You will find me at the Minor Injury Centers in Antioch - Sand Creek, Pleasanton, and Walnut Creek. Outside of work, I enjoy working on my old house in Berkeley, running, reading, and travel.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
