About Me

I specifically chose to work at the Oakland Chemical Dependency Recovery Program because I find it extremely rewarding to witness the transformation in people’s lives when they are no longer using drugs and alcohol. Everyone deserves to live a life of integrity and be valued. Sober living provides the foundation to building meaningful and joyful lives and obtaining a sense of peace.

Abstaining from using harmful substances is only the beginning. I support people in utilizing the tools of the 12 step programs and Life Ring as they recover and change their lives. I teach several classes on meditation and mindfulness which are designed to help people make healthy choices that enhance their recovery.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
