About me
As a gastroenterologist (sometimes referred to as a GI doctor) I specialize in the treatment of diseases and problems of the digestive system. I chose this specialty because I find this area of medicine fascinating, and because it provides a chance for me to help a wide variety of people. Patient education is a priority for me, and so I try my best to answer all of my patient’s questions during the course of a clinic visit. I have training in all areas of gastroenterology, and have a particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and colon cancer. If you’re interested in learning about these or other topics, try clicking on the Health Encyclopedia link in the navigation bar and doing a search.
I chose to work with Kaiser Permanente because I feel the quality of health care here is excellent. I believe this is a great place for me to work, and a great place for people to receive care.
On a personal note, when I’m not at work I enjoy being outdoors doing things like hiking, playing golf, and running.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
