It is with pleasure that I welcome you to my home page. I am part of the Department of Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City, California. Departmental phone numbers along with office hours are listed above, along with other useful links on the left-hand side of my page.

My interest in Psychiatry developed as an undergraduate at UCLA. There I majored in Philosophy and Science. I was interested in the combination of medicine and the human emotions, and found Psychiatry to be a good match for me. After my Residency, I did a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as I believe that children are our most precious resource, and I love working with children.

I joined The Permanente Medical Staff in November of 1998, after two decades of Psychiatric practice on the Peninsula. It has been my pleasure to join a wonderful team of mental health professionals.

Currently, I am Chief of the Child, Adolescent and Family Team, in the Department of Psychiatry, at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. My functions include direct Patient care, administrative work, and I also manage a “Clinica,” for Spanish speaking patients.

The Child and Family Team provide evaulations, individual and group therapy, and medications as needed. As a Psychiatrist, I carefully evaluate the benefits and potential risks of indicated medications, before I prescribe.

I speak fluent French and Spanish, and live with my family on the Peninsula. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, mountain biking, and collecting vintage California art.

Providing quality care with a great team, I look forward to helping our patients and their families with their mental health needs!
