Thank you for visiting my home page. The fast pace of the Emergency Department setting generally gives me little time to let you get to know me. I appreciate the opportunity!

I was raised in Sacramento and have actually been a Kaiser Permanente member since I was in diapers. I spent a few years away at college and medical school, but had always planned to return to my hometown and close-knit family. Residency training at UC Davis Medical Center not only gave me this opportunity, but also introduced me to the emergency medicine team at South Sacramento. As residents we rotate through the South Sacramento Emergency Department, and it became clear early on in my training that I wanted to be part of this team. I have the utmost respect for this Emergency Department, its staff and my physician colleagues. I was thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to work here once my training was completed.

Ultimately my goal as a Kaiser Permanente emergency physician is to provide the highest quality care in a most compassionate manner during you or your family member’s hour of need. I believe strongly in our Emergency Department mission statement “To care for our patients as we would care for our families and ourselves”.

When not working in the Emergency Department, I enjoy spending time with my husband, an emergency department nurse (guess how we met!), and our son. We are quite an active family spending a majority of our time outdoors running, swimming, hiking and camping to name just a few things. Oh, and I can’t forget our dog Sadie who is always along for the ride!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
