Welcome to my home page!
My name is Dr. Catherine Treseler and I’ve practiced medicine with Kaiser Permanente since 1995, all of which have been here in San Rafael. My duties at the medical center are wide and varied. I am board certified and specialize in infectious disease. As such I see patients in an outpatient office setting as well as people experiencing inpatient care while admitted to the hospital.
I’m proud to be associated with Kaiser Permanente and especially the staff and fellow physicians in San Rafael. Kaiser’s model of an integrated care system was especially attractive in my making the decision to join this medical group. Together as a team we are able to effectively treat patients free from the complexities and red tape that is often associated with private practice. This provides our membership a streamlined service of care that they deserve and expect with the added benefit of a bright, innovative, and dedicated group of specialists and primary care providers.
While away from the hospital I enjoy horseback riding, gardening and just about everything else Marin and Northern California has to offer. Thank you for visiting my home page. I hope you take a few minutes to view some of the links we have posted. Among everything else, there’s great educational material and travel advice that should be worth reading. Through our website, Kaiser does a great job in providing medical information to our membership and the public in general. Please take advantage of these resources. I look forward to our next appointment.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
