Welcome to my Home Page...

Joined Kaiser Permanente Medical Group: 2007

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco. I have been practicing at Kaiser since 2007. Before coming to Kaiser I worked in child welfare and drug treatment in San Francisco. I currently work on the adult team providing individual and group psychotherapy to patients.

In addition to providing individual therapy, I currently help to run our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). I facilitate a postpartum adjustment group for new mothers and serve on the postpartum depression treatment task force for the hospital. In addition, I help coordinate the trauma treatment services for our department.

I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy in my work, but I am also influenced by brief models of psychodynamic therapy and object relations theory.

I feel that working in the multi-disciplinary integrated-care setting that Kaiser provides offers the most effective treatment for our patients. I appreciate the emphasis on patient care and the opportunity to consult with clinicians of varied backgrounds, theoretical orientations and disciplines. I feel fortunate to work with such a dedicated and skilled team that provides tailored mental health services to our patients.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
