Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

Hi, my name is Craig Wall. My relationship with Kaiser Permanente started with my residency at Kaiser Fontana, which I completed in Family practice. It is hard to believe I have been with Kaiser Permanente for nine years already. I enjoyed the concept here at Kaiser Permanente of being able to focus on people and not office utility bills, hiring and firing of employees, or what color to paint the exam or waiting rooms. Kaiser Permanente allows me to focus on you, the things I would want my doctor to focus on.

My Healthcare Practice

Since I was a child, I have loved sports and the philosophy of teamwork. This philosophy has transferred into my practice. I think teamwork plays a large role in the doctor –patient relationship. My goal is to give patients as much knowledge on a topic as possible, so together we can make a treatment plan. I like to individualize the person not categorize. I like to think of doctors as teachers and friends. Some of the people I looked up to growing up such, as my father, were doctors, and I wanted to maintain the tradition of keeping the profession personal as well as professional.

I presently work in the Department of Orthopedics and specialize in musculoskeletal injuries, where my love for sports and medicine come together. I also can be found on an occasional weekend in the Medical Treatment Unit, where I still keep my primary care skills up to date. Over the years, I have meet very interesting and pleasant people through medicine, and that is why this profession is so special to me. I guess it all goes back to my first grade teacher telling me “treat others like you would like to be treated”. That is my goal. Be safe and hopefully we wont see you to much in Orthopedics.
