Welcome to my Home Page
Thank you for visiting my home page. This site allows me to provide you with a variety of health information resources. By clicking on the links along the left hand column you can refill prescriptions, request an appointment, as well as access the KaiserPermanente Healthwise Handbook or the Health Encyclopedia.
As a practicing anesthesiologist of The Permanente Medical Group, my goal is to provide you with information that will prepare you for a pleasant and safe experience during your planned anesthetic and surgery.
About Me
I grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and received my undergraduate and medical school education in Madison, Wisconsin. I completed my residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. I am board certified in anesthesiology and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the California Society of Anesthesia, and the California Medical Association. I have had the privilege of practicing anesthesia at Kaiser Permanente since I completed my residency in 1990.
In my anesthesia practice at Kaiser Permanente I am part of the anesthesia care team that provides complete perioperative care to inpatients and outpatients of all ages, undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, as well as providing the anesthetic needs of obstetrical patients. In addition, I provide care to outpatients in need of epidural steroid injections. I strongly believe in the team care approach to medicine, including practicing along side colleagues of all specialties, and helping patients become knowledgeable and actively involved in their medical care. I believe Kaiser Permanente is the best place to practice and receive medical care.
In addition to working at Kaiser Permanente, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. My outside interests include mountain biking, skate skiing, and music.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
