My Biography

Wecome to my home page. Please take a little time to become familiar with my background and resources available to you at this site.

I grew up in Northern California and attended U.C. Davis undergraduate as well as medical school. This was followed by a medical internship at Kaiser San Francisco. I then spent two years in occupational medicine in Southern California. This time reinforced for me the desire to be in Northern California and the following two years were occupied by medicine residency again at Kaiser San Francisco. I next worked here at Redwood City Kaiser in outpatient medicine where I continued to be impressed with the quality of care practiced within the Kaiser Permanente. For the last four years I have enjoyed the challenges of caring for inpatients and plan to continue this into the future.

I speak Spanish.

My professional interests include among other areas, acute coronary syndromes and my role as the champion within the group has been rewarding. My goal as a hospitalist is to provide the highest level of care possible in concert with our other fine specialists while making the hospital stay as easy and comfortable as possible for the patient.

At home, my wife Fiona and I are spending any extra time with our infant and toddler girls which is most rewarding. I try to swim with a masters team three to four times a week and compete several times a year at local and national meets.

Please feel free to contact me personally through my phone mail at he listed number if there any questions or problems that I can help you with.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
