Welcome to My Home Page!

Having been raised in Northern California, I am grateful to be returning after a short stay in Southern California. I was fortunate to learn from and train with some excellent medical minds during my time in Southern California. I bring their lessons to Kaiser and to you. As a second generation Kaiser physician, I am pleased to be joining a medical group and a medical philosophy that has taken care of so many.

Infectious diseases is a fascinating discipline. These diseases can present in so many different ways and they can be caused by so many different organisms but the underlying goals are always the same - to prevent, to treat, and to cure. In an age where bacteria are changing faster than new drugs can be developed, prevention is of the utmost importance. Even the simplest things (e.g. washing hands regularly and covering up when you sneeze or cough) can go a long way in keeping everybody healthy.

My training also allows me to treat patients with HIV and AIDS. The progress that has been made over the last 20+ years in the field of HIV/AIDS is phenomenal. This previously tragic disease has now become a very manageable condition. Though we're still working on a cure, with today's medications, patients with this condition should expect to live long and thrive.

Welcome to my practice! I look forward to meeting you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
