My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a pathologist with additional fellowship training in cytopathology. Using a microscope, I make the diagnosis by examining the tissue from tissue biopsy, organ resection, or individual cells from body fluids. I have always been interested in the disease process and direct visual observation.

My Practice Philosophy

As a pathologist, we work closely with surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists as well as primary care physicians. I believe in a team oriented approach that can provide high quality care to each individual patient.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have joined Kaiser Permanente recently because I am impressed by the high quality patient care at Kaiser along with the experienced physicians and motivated medical staff members.

Professional Interests & Affiliations

Besides surgical pathology and cytopathology, I have developed an interest in pulmonary pathology as well as GYN Pathology over the past few years while I was an assistant professor at UC Davis Medical Center. I received the Geraldine C. Zeiler Scholarship to study pulmonary pathology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona during 2009. I am a fellow of the College of American Pathology and board certified in both pathology and cytopathology.

On a Personal Note

I am married with two children. When I have free time, I like to spend it with my family. I enjoy kayaking, swimming, and yoga.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
