My Specialty and Why I Chose It

As an emergency physician, I diagnose and treat conditions resulting from sudden illness or injury. I see pediatric, geriatric patients and everyone in between. I am also here in case you can not reach your doctor or obtain care anywhere else

My Practice Philosophy

I try to approach most patients and care for them as if they were my own family. I believe in keeping up with the literature in my field and practice according to what the current evidence in emergency medicine dictates.

Medicine requires life-long learning and education to practice competently. But I also realize that each patient has their own expectations and needs which may not always just "follow the book".

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I have been with Kaiser Permanente since July 2005.

I enjoy the professional challenge of seeing complicated cases. I have found the information system to be a huge help in this, giving me the background that is essential for diagnosing and treating our patients. The availability of the specialty medical staff with who I can discuss cases makes my work in the emergency department both interesting and rewarding.
