My Biography
Information about my credentials can be found at the bottom of this page.
A desire to work at a great health care facility and return to my hometown brought me to Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco. I enjoy the people with whom I work in the clinic, as well as the professional manner in which the clinic is run. My colleagues are cordial and supportive. We often share ideas with one another. In this environment, I can easily provide patients with the care, medications, and referrals that they need without a lot of barriers. The Kaiser Permanente system provides for centralization of such auxiliary services as radiology. Kaiser Permanente also makes it easy for providers to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
I get to see a wide range of injuries in my practice. I enjoy helping patients return to functional and healthy lifestyles. My special interests are in musculoskeletal recovery and injury prevention and health maintenance in the workplace. I am also interested in the role of nanotechnology in the future of occupational medicine, an area that spans many fields, including biotechnology and material and computer sciences.
I find many ways to thrive on a daily basis, including exercising and making time for relaxation. My outside interests and hobbies include horseback riding, visiting museums, attending the ballet, opera and symphony, and reading a variety of authors and genres. I enjoy travel as well. I’ve traveled most recently to Cambodia, Vietnam, and South Korea, and look forward to exploring the many destinations in the rest of the world in due time!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
